Here at Oasis we love art making in many forms! Art Therapy is our passion! We love Art Journaling as it is a method to create art individually but alongside others who share this joy of expressing ourselves through art making. In our Art Journaling workshop, you can come into the studio and create personal art. Art journaling is a fun way to express the things we may not say out loud but mean something to us. All supplies are included just bring yourself and your heart and creative mind! If we get enough interest we will be doing this on a monthly basis.

In many cultures, summoning rain often included the use of a musical instruments. A traditional rain stick is a long, hollow tube made from cactus, pebbles, or beans. Beans are placed inside the rain stick to create a sound. In this workshop teens will create and decorate their own rain stick!

The Talking Stick is used in Native American Traditions.  Whoever holds the stick has the right to speak all others have to wait until they hold the stick. The talking stick is used to make sure that each person in the group has the chance to express his or her own thoughts with out interruption. After the speaker finishes, they pass it on the next speaker. In this group participants will create and decorate their own talking stick while learning about this wonderful tradition.
